In this 4th episode of the Magnet4Marketing Podcast I take the liberty of sharing with you the six blogging mistakes that I made last year, and what I’ll be doing differently in 2013 to make sure I don’t make those mistakes again…
I hope that you can take something away from listening to this show and implement anything that you learn into your own blogging strategy. Blogging is a continuous learning curve no matter how long you’ve been doing it, and I’m always learning something new myself. It’s certainly one of the ‘buzzes’ that I get from blogging and connecting with people online.
So what blogging mistakes did I make in 2012? listen to the show to find out, here’s the list -
- Poor use of time management (not using a schedule, not managing my time properly, mixing work with family time, being online in an unproductive manner)
- Allowing for too many distractions (TV, iPhone, connection with the outside world)
- Taking too many projects on (starting multiple online projects then having no time to work on them, spreading my resources thinly)
- Failing to monetize the blog properly
- Not backing my blog up properly (backing up as in not making a backup copy of my blog for almost 8 months)
- Spending too much time hiding behind my blog, instead of engaging more and making connections with other bloggers and guest writers online
